Immunometabolic consequences of COVID-19
Collaborators: Professors Jeremy Nicholson and Julien Wist
We have established a collaboration with the Australian National Phenome Centre (ANPC) based at Murdoch University, WA to perform immunometabolomic profiling of our samples, which utilises a suite of powerful spectroscopic tools (eg high field NMR spectroscopy and mass spectrometry) for comprehensive molecular profiling and biomarker discovery for disease monitoring. This technology holds promise for Long COVID diagnostics in two crucial ways i) novel metabolic biomarker discovery for long COVID and ii) new-onset disease risk stratification. Immunometabolic profiling will be highly informative alongside our complex immune assays.
